From Haircuts to A Topless Photo, How Marcia Clark Was Scrutinized During O.J. Trial
The miniseries about the O.J. Simpson trial has revisited the prosecutor's ordeal.
The media's portrayal of O.J. Simpson prosecutor Marcia Clark—and how she was treated in the courtroom—are back in the public spotlight following the newest episode of the hit FX series "The People v. O.J. Simpson."
Tuesday night's episode, titled "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia," detailed some of the indignities Clark faced as the only female trial lawyer on either side of the Los Angeles courtroom where O.J. Simpson was acquitted of the murders of ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend, Ronald Goldman.

Everything from her appearance to her parenting skills were up for public debate. Told that her hair and clothes were alienating to jurors, Clark relented and had her hair cut and bought new clothing, only to be made fun of afterwards.
She was locked in a bitter custody battle during the trial with ex-husband Gordon Clark over their two young sons. After Clark said in court she couldn't stay late because of child care issues, her ex went on TV to accuse her of lying to get out of work.
A vacation photo of her topless on a beach during a vacation with her first husband were published in the National Enquirer, to her humiliation.
