"Everything about that day was so dark and painful and yet I have this little glimmer of hope of kindness and compassion," Deborah Greene said.
After Deborah Greene from Georgia broke down at a local Whole Foods, she published an open thank you letter to her blog, addressed to the women who helped her through her grief.

Ten months ago, Greene was delivered the worst news of her life. She was at the Merchant's Walk Whole Foods in Marietta, Georgia, buying groceries like any other day when her brother called, and told her their father had taken his own life.
In the letter, Greene explained that as she cried and screamed, a group of people immediately surrounded her and offered her comfort.
"They were witnesses to the darkest time in my life that day," she told InsideEdition.com.
The women tried to reach her husband, and discussed who would get her car and drive her home. One of the women found her friend, an employee at that Whole Foods. Another prayed.
She wrote in her letter that even though the woman said a Christian prayer, and Greene and her family is Jewish, she told IE.com, "It didn't matter to what God it was being offered. It was comforting."
