Missing Teen Found Dead Days After Father Was Murdered and Set on Fire

The decomposing body of Adriana Coronado has been found after authorities launched a desperate search.

The search for a 14-year-old Texas girl was called off Friday after police announced a body found earlier this week is that of the teenager.

Authorities were desperate to locate Adriana Coronado after the burned and bullet-riddled body of her father, Caesar Vladimir Coronado, was discovered in Walker County last weekend, police said.

Authorities announced that Adriana's decomposing body was found in an open field in west Houston and identified by fingerprint verification, the Associated Press reports.

Her cause of death has not yet been determined, according to Houston police spokeswoman Jodi Silva.

The girl was last seen on Saturday in the Houston suburb of Katy, where she lived. Investigators believe Adriana may have been with her father when he was killed. Walker County Sheriff Clint McRae said at a news conference Thursday. It is not clear why Coronado and his daughter were in Walker County.

Police have released video footage of a person of interest wanted in the case. The video shows an unidentified heavyset man leaving Coronado's truck in Conroe Sunday night.

A burst of light can be seen coming from off screen in the direction the truck was driven which authorities believe is the when vehicle was set on fire.

The man can be seen running away and is later pictured running down an alleyway.

He may have been picked up by a dark-colored SUV, officials said.

"This is going to be crucial in solving the case, McRae told reporters, noting that while the man's features are not clear in the video, he hopes that someone might be able to identify him by his build, his outfit or his walk and run.
