Tian Tian, a male giant panda at the Smithsonian National Zoo, took a bath and it has people cooing around the world.

A giant panda at the Smithsonian's National Zoo is seen taking a rare bubble bath in an adorable viral video.

Tian Tian, a male panda who lives at the Washington, DC zoo along with three other pandas, was given a sudsy tub on Wednesday.

"He rubbed it on his ears—which is called scent-anointing. (Wait for the tail wiggle!)," the zoo wrote on its Facebook page.

While pandas don't bathe in the wild, zoo experts say Tian Tian becomes especially fond of baths when he's in rut, or exhibiting signs that he's prepared to mate.

Tian Tian's fame is usually eclipsed by that of the zoo's newest panda addition, a male cub named Bei Bei who was born last year.

However, Tian Tian's no stranger to the spotlight.

In a video that quickly went viral, Tian Tian rolled down a snowdrift in his enclosure over and over with a decidedly amused look on his black and white face.
