Beauty Queen With Incurable Illness Says Trump Reunion Was Not Set Up: 'It Was My Dream'

Melissa Young, a former Miss Wisconsin, had an emotional meeting with Trump at a rally this week.

The woman who brought a recent raucous Donald Trump rally in Wisconsin to sudden silence sang the presidential hopeful praises. She showed that the candidate has a side to him few have seen.

“I just want to say 'Thank You.' You saved me in so many ways," Melissa Young said at the event on Tuesday. "I've been struggling with an incurable illness. I received from you a hand written letter that said: ‘To the bravest woman I know.’”

“I remember that,” Trump said.

Young is in the fight of a lifetime battling autonomic failure, which leads to the shutdown of the nervous system.

The former Miss Wisconsin competed in what was then the Trump-owned Miss USA pageant in 2005, where she won "Miss Congeniality."

The former beauty queen said it was her “biggest dream” to thank the billionaire in person.

She told INSIDE EDITION's Les Trent: "I just really wanted to thank him in person and I was so honored to do so. The prognosis for me is not good, there is no cure. Now my heart is in the condition of a 90-year-old woman."

Her seven-year-old son, Jack, is always at her side. She told Trump that: "He's a Mexican-American and because of you I can send him to college."

"We are going to be watching your boy," Trump assured.

Trump was visibly touched at the sight of the ailing woman as he made his way through the crowd to greet her.

"To give me that hug and promise that Jack would be okay, and to make sure of it, it is the best gift you can give a mother," Young emotionally told Trent.

The moment even moved Trump's nemesis Megyn Kelly.

She said on Tuesday’s Kelly File: “It showed a softer side of Donald Trump, we don't always get to see that. He's always the tough brash guy.”

It was so unlike the Trump seen during his bid for the White House that some wondered whether it was staged.

But Young assured Trent that Trump had "no idea that I was going to say that or that I was going to be there."
