Steve Phillips Speaks Out About His Sex Addiction

Former ESPN sportscaster Steve Phillips speaks out for the first time about his sex addiction and the scandal that cost him his job. INSIDE EDITION has the details.

"I couldn't stop myself from doing the things i was doing. Even knowing the consequences."

Former sportscaster Steve Phillips is speaking out for the first time about his sex addiction and the scandal that cost him his career at ESPN.

"Married. Great job. Great career. And I risked all of that, risked all of that, to act out the way that I did," said Phillips.

Phillips had an affair with 22-year-old production assistant Brooke Hundley. When it ended, she wrote a steamy letter detailing the relationship and delivered it to his home. Phillip's wife called 911.

Phillips's Wife: I have a crazy woman who is involved with my husband and she has come to my house to harm me and my children.

911 operator: Okay ma'am, is she outside?

Wife: Yes. She is pulling down my hill right now. Please hurry and catch her. She's crazy.

Phillips revealed to the Today Show that his wife has taken him back.

"I damaged her and our marriage in a terrible way," said Phillips.

Hundley is now living in Los Angeles looking for a new job.

"I was 22 I made some mistakes. If I could take them back I would. Now I just want to get on with the rest of my life," said Hundley.

Phillips was treated for sex addiction at the same clinic in Hattiesburg, Mississippi where Tiger Woods was reportedly treated before his release last week. He told Matt Lauer he knows what Tiger is going through.

"People who are there are broken people. That's the essence of the addiction. There was a hole you tried to fill with alcohol or drugs or sex or gambling or whatever," said Phillips.

Tiger and Elin's youngest child, Charlie, is one year old today.

And Tiger's so-called Mistress #1, Rachel Uchitel, turned on photographers at the airport in Los Angeles when she was asked about Tiger.

A reporter asked Uchitel, "Have you seen him since he was out of rehab?"

Uchitel replied, "For you to ask this question is so inappropriate. Don't you think?"
