Growing up in the age of technology may have saved this 1-year-old girl's life.
Australian mom Stacey Gleeson is speaking out after rescuing her baby's life in March using the "Hey Siri" feature on her iPhone.
Gleeson recalled rushing to her daughter Giana when she noticed on the baby monitor that the 1-year-old had turned blue.
She soon discovered her baby had stopped breathing.
"I had to find a way to help my daughter in that instant," Gleeson from Cairns told InsideEdition.com. "I really just went into survival mode."
"I had no one to help me," Gleeson said. "I had no other option to access assistance other than my phone."
In a spur of the moment decision, she yelled: "Hey Siri, call the ambulance."
Her quick decision making worked, and the ambulance soon arrived, moments after Giana started breathing again.
"I don't know how I remembered it," she told InsideEdition.com, but had the feature not been activated, she said, "my infant daughter may have died."
