Anderson Cooper Gets Emotional as He Reads Names of Orlando Massacre Victims

CNN's Anderson Cooper was overcome with emotion as he read the same list of names of the Orlando massacre during Monday’s episode of Anderson Cooper 360.

"In the next two hours we want to try to keep the focus where we think it belongs, on the people whose lives were cut short," Cooper said while choking back tears. “They are more than a list of names. They are people who loved and who were loved.”

Cooper also took to Twitter to list the 49 names of all of the victims.

The one name the openly gay journalist would not say was that of the killer.

“There is one name you will not hear and the picture of a person you won’t see. We will not show you the gunman’s name or show his photograph, it has been shown far too much already,” Cooper declared.
