Security expert Robert Strang told Inside Edition that an area like Times Square is a hot target for terrorists, especially those in vehicles wanting to do harm to the "Crossroads of the World."

"This is probably the No. 1 target in the world," he said. "You have more people in such a small space in probably anywhere in the United States. That is why you have security cameras and police, everyone is armed here. For someone to make a move like [the Nice attack] in New York, luckily we would be able to kill them quickly.”

Strang pointed out that the giant flower pots that line the center of Times Square could be used to thwart a terrorist behind the wheel significantly.

“They would slow a bus down, they would slow a truck down,” he said.
