The victim alerted police, who he told them the driver of a grey Mercedes had hit him and fled.

A few blocks away, cops say they spotted a car fitting the victim's description that had sustained damage "consistent with the bike accident," Sgt. Dan Miles told the OC Register.

The officers pulled the car over and administered a roadside sobriety check.

The driver, 22-year-old Aya Ibish of Laguna Beach, was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI causing injury and felony hit-and-run causing injury, Miles said.
