Mom Allegedly Makes Son, 11, Walk Outside While Naked for Getting in Trouble at School

After Joyce Sweetheart Cole was called in to her son's school for a bullying incident, she threatened to "embarrass" him if ever got into trouble again.

A Georgia woman was arrested after she allegedly took off her 11-year-old son’s clothing and forced him to walk outside his elementary school naked as a punishment, authorities said.

After Joyce Sweetheart Cole of Cobb County was called in to her son’s school for a bullying incident involving a female student about a month ago, she threatened to “embarrass” the boy if he ever got into trouble again, an arrest warrant obtained by the Atlanta Journal Constitution said.

Cole was again called down to the Norton Park Elementary School on October 31 after her son was accused of kicking another student, the warrant said.

When she got her son outside, Cole allegedly stripped the boy of his clothing and made him walk to her car in the parking lot, smacking him in the head with an open hand while walking behind him, officials said.

Witnesses reportedly told police that they tried to stop the situation but were unable to put an end to the incident and Cole drove off with her son.

She stopped again before reaching their home, making him once again walk outside without any clothes, authorities told People.

Cole was charged with child cruelty in the first degree and contributing to the delinquency of a minor on November 1. She was released on $5,000 bail that same day and has yet to enter a plea to the charges against her, according to reports.

Cole’s three children, including the alleged victim, have been taken into state custody.

A message for Cole by InsideEdition.com was not returned Thursday.
