The restaurant where reality TV star Tila Tequila was seen giving a Nazi-style salute has apologized for what occurred inside a Washington, D.C., establishment.
On Friday afternoon at a Washington restaurant, former reality TV star Tila Tequila gave the Nazi salute with members of the National Policy Institute at Maggio’s Little Italy.
She posted the photo to Twitter with the caption: “Seig Heil!,” misspelling the word “Sieg.” She has since deleted the post.
Following the Tequila incident, a shocking video has emerged of a National Policy Institute meeting in Washington, showing some in attendance giving Nazi-style salutes.
The event for the National Policy Institute, which occurred Saturday inside the Ronald Reagan Building, saw many, including leader Richard Spencer, say: “Hail Trump! Hail our people! Hail victory!”
Spencer has popularized the recent term “alt-right” and described in the past his dream of “a new society, an ethno-state that would be a gathering point for all Europeans.”
He has also called for “peaceful ethnic cleansing.”
The Trump transition team condemned the meeting, saying in a statement: “President-elect Trump has continued to denounce racism of any kind and he was elected because he will be a leader for every American."
Trump is heading to his Florida retreat, Mar-A-Lago, Tuesday for Thanksgiving as the sanitation trucks forming a barricade around Trump Tower in Manhattan will be redeployed to protect the Thanksgiving Day Parade from any potential terror threats.
