Kanye West Visits Trump, Then Tells Reporters, 'I Just Want to Take a Picture'

The meeting came after Trump officially tapped his secretary of state.

It looks like Kanye West wants to "Watch the Throne" as he visited Donald Trump for a meeting in New York City Tuesday morning.

The duo embraced in the lobby of Trump Tower, where the president-elect told reporters that he and the “Famous” rapper “have been friends for a long time."

Trump was then asked, what he and the musician talked about, he replied: "Life.”

As the press peppered the pair with questions, the “Made in America” rapper smiled and nodded but said nothing. Instead, the real estate mogul did the talking.

But as reporters persisted with inquiries, including whether he would perform at Trump's inauguration, West finally opened his mouth to say, “I just want to take a picture right now.”

On Tuesday afternoon, hours after West visited Trump, he took to Twitter for the first time since October 21 and explained why he visited the billionaire.

I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues.

These issues included bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago.

I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change.

Prior to his recent hospitalization, West went on a rant during a performance in Sacramento last month where he said he didn’t vote in the election but if he did it would have been for Donald Trump.

West also famously stated during a bizarre appearance at the 2015 MTV VMAs that he would run for president in 2020. He did not comment on those remarks during the photo-op with Trump.

His shocking appearance at Trump Tower with his entourage and camera crew comes as Trump will reportedly personally ask blind tenor Andrea Bocelli to perform at his inauguration, which has reportedly been having trouble attracting A-list performers.

For Trump, Tuesday morning was a busy one. At 6:44 a.m. the soon-to-be 45th president of the United States tweeted out his choice for top diplomat, ExxonMobil honcho Rex Tillerson.

I have chosen one of the truly great business leaders of the world, Rex Tillerson, Chairman and CEO of ExxonMobil, to be Secretary of State.

The thing I like best about Rex Tillerson is that he has vast experience at dealing successfully with all types of foreign governments.

Tillerson's nomination is certain to be contentious. He has close ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin, who awarded him the order of friendship.

Campaign manager Kellyanne Conway tamped down the ties on Good Morning America Monday: “It's not like he's pounding down vodka with Vladimir Putin at the local bar, but he's dealt with him in a business context.”

Former Texas Governor and one time Republican presidential hopeful Rick Perry was all smiles as he left Trump Tower Monday afternoon before the president-elect named him energy secretary.

Another former Trump rival, Carly Fiorina, was also spotted at Trump Tower Monday. She is reportedly being considered for national intelligence director.
