The performer who will sing the national anthem at Donald Trump's inauguration has been revealed, and she's no stranger to television.
Sixteen-year-old Jackie Evancho, the former America’s Got Talent contestant, will have the honor of performing for the incoming commander-in-chief on January 20.
Appearing on the Today show Wednesday Evancho called the opportunity “a great honor."
Evancho shot to fame in 2010 at the age of 10 when she placed second on the fifth season of the wildly popular reality competition show.
She has since released five albums since her AGT appearance as well as an EP. Her most recent effort is a holiday album she put out this year called Someday at Christmas.
Evancho has spent her years after the show touring the country and even met Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate in 2011.
