Little Girl Receives Gift She Asked for From Police Officer She Thought Was 'Santa Claus'

She realized he isn't Santa, however.

A little girl in West Virginia received just what she asked for from “Santa Claus.”

Last month, 3-year-old Kaylee met Chief Joe Parson of the Milton Police Department while out to dinner with her mother and mistook the bearded man seated next to her for Jolly Old St. Nick.

Parsons had been participating in “No-Shave November” at the time, and when Kaylee spotted his white beard, she walked right up to him and told him what she wanted for Christmas.

Kaylee’s mom Gina was shocked that her daughter made the connection.

“She was very tickled with it," Gina said. "It was a big moment for her.”

Officer Parsons said he just went along with it.

But, the jig is up. Although Kaylee did receive what she asked for — a Barbie doll — from the chief, she now realizes he isn’t Santa.

“She is pretty smart and I think it hit her when we went to the police station to meet with him,” Gina told InsideEdition.com.

Her mom said she loves the doll anyhow.
