Two Mississippi toddlers were killed in a tragic house fire that broke out this week while cops say no adults were in the home.
Damiya and Yazzuiqe Turner, ages 1 and 3, were among six children allegedly left alone in the Greenville home when the fire broke out Wednesday night.
Four other children — ages 14,12, 8 and 4 — were also inside the home during the blaze but were able to escape before firefighters arrived, WREG reports.
Unfortunately it was too late for the young sisters, who were found dead in a rear bedroom.
According to reports, police say the children were alone inside the home and that the parents were taken in for questioning when they arrived to the scene.
Meanwhile, a Greenville Police Department official told InsideEdition.com Thursday morning that no charges have been filed in the case.
And, while fire investigators have said no gas or electricity was on in the house and candles were placed throughout, the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
