Morning TV Host Hoda Kotb Now a Mom After Adopting Baby Girl

The 52-year-old became a mother for the first time.

Today show host Hoda Kotb has become a mother for the first time after adopting a baby girl.

The news was revealed Tuesday on the Today show when the 52-year-old called into her show.

Kotb named the baby Haley Joy, and shared photos on social media.

Her co-host, Kathie Lee Gifford, said it was difficult to remain mum on the news.

"I’ve got the biggest mouth in the world and I’ve said zilch," she said. "Hoda, we are thrilled for you, sweetheart. You were made to be a mom."

“This is such fantastic news," Matt Lauer echoed. "This little girl, Haley, is the luckiest girl on the planet. You are going to be one of the most fantastic moms I can ever imagine."

Other members of the Today family extended their well wishes on social media.
