"I was being asked to take a picture in a crowded room with the press behind us, and I was asked to take a certain angle and was doing exactly that," she said on Lou Dobbs Tonight Tuesday. "I certainly meant no disrespect. I didn't mean to have my feet on the couch."

The moment the photo was released Monday, it quickly went viral with many slamming her actions on social media. It also spawned numerous memes featuring Conway in various scenes while in that sitting position.
Speaking to Dobbs, Conway called the attacks "venomous." She added: "It is vicious. It bothers my children to be frank with you."
She then called the criticism a conspiracy of the left, adding: “I am not a victim at all but people should take very seriously the import of their words."
