Mr. T has been voted off Dancing with the Stars following a waltz to "Amazing Grace" that brought some audience members to tears.
Asked to choose a tune for the competition's "most memorable year" theme Monday night, the A-Team star chose the well-known hymn because it reminds him of his 1995 battle with T-cell lymphoma.
"Every time I hear that song, it would send chills to my body," he said. "I want to honor God through this dance that I do because the grace of God saved me and that’s why I feel I’m here."
The performance was emotional for everyone in the room and brought many to tears as he appeared to float across the stage with professional dancing partner Kym Herjavec.
But it wasn’t enough to get the pair through the latest elimination round.
"I said I couldn't dance and you took me anyway," the 64-year-old former wrestler and bodyguard told the judges.
"You two are definitely the A-Team," judge Len Goodman told the duo. "As for you Mr. T, I admire you more than any other celebrity because you're right outside your comfort zone and yet you’ve come out, you’ve worked hard and I truly admire you."
The Rocky III star pledged to donate his earnings to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital and Shriners Hospital for Children.
