105-Year-Old Receives the High School Diploma She Always Wanted
Her original school awarded her the degree.

A Pennsylvania woman’s dream came true when she received her high school degree — at 105 years old.

Theresia Brandl dropped out of high school in the 1920s to help take care of her family, a decision she said she regretted.
“On her birthday in January, I took her back to her room and I was just having a conversation with her and I said is there anything you wish you would have done. That’s when she told me she wished she would have gotten her high school diploma,” said Kathy Crise, the administrator at the personal care home that Brandl lives in.
Crise told InsideEdition.com that she took it upon herself to do some research to see if she could make Brandl’s wish come true.
With the help of the Twilight Wish Foundation, which grants wishes to senior citizens, Brandl was awarded an honorary high school degree last Wednesday from the high school she originally dropped out of, Sto-Rox High School.

Surrounded by her family and friends and dressed in a cap and gown, she received her diploma.
"I was little emotional. It was very touching to be able to help someone get their wish granted at 105. The look on her face was priceless,” Crise said.
