Was the Royal Honeymoon Delayed Because of Osama bin Laden?

Newlyweds Will and Kate delayed their honeymoon in favor of a short weekend getaway in the U.K. and some are wondering if it is because of the U.S. top-secret mission to kill Osama bin Laden. INSIDE EDITION has the story.

Was the royal honeymoon delayed due to the top-secret mission to kill Osama bin Laden?

President Obama authorized the military operation on Friday, April 29th, the same day as Will and Kate's momentous wedding.

INSIDE EDITION's Special Correspondent Amanda Holden reports from London: "People are wondering whether the honeymoon was delayed because Buckingham Palace may have received word from Washington officials that a big operation was going to go down and that William and Kate were best advised to stay in the relative safety of the U.K."

The newly-titled Duke and Duchess of Cambridge looked blissfully happy strolling hand-in-hand outside Buckingham Palace the morning after their historic "I dos" before boarding a chopper and leaving for a short getaway believed to be at a royal palace somewhere in Scotland.

After donning her priceless Alexander McQueen wedding gown, Kate proved she's still in touch with her frugal side. She wore a blue dress from the chain store Zara, and at just $89 you don't need to be royalty to afford her royal style.

And new details continue to emerge about the evening wedding reception at Buckingham Palace.

Will and Kate's first dance was to Elton John's "Your Song." They also boogied to "You're The One That I Want" from Grease.

The night was filled with touching toasts. William called Kate "his rock," and best man Prince Harry left everyone in tears when he told his brother, "Our mother would be so proud."

The party-loving prince lived up to his reputation. He left the Palace at 3 a.m. with his shirt unbuttoned and his bow tie nowhere to be found.

And while Kate is now Her Royal Highness, everyone is calling younger sister Pippa Middleton 'Her Royal Hotness!'

Pippa is now officially a global phenomenon. A Facebook page paying homage to Pippa's backside has almost 151,421 fans!

And father of the bride Michael Middleton was spotted back at home in Bucklebury, riding a lawn mower. It's no surprise he's doing his own gardening, the wedding festivities reportedly cost him a whopping $400,000!

Now many are wondering about the timing of these two historic events and how the wedding of the century would have been affected had Osama bin Laden been killed just two days earlier.
