Buress, who plays Coach Wilson in the superhero flick, paid a stand-in $500 to hit the red carpet and talk to the press — all while assuming Buress' identity.

Earlier Wednesday, Buress sent a tweet to his fans offering $500 for "a look alike with solid comedic timing for an event tonight."

The stand-in’s name is Joe Carroll, who's an actor himself. He's also an author, publishing a novel called Sinful Confessions: Inaugural Secrets last year.

"I don’t really know the details 'til I got there," Carroll told Inside Edition Thursday. "It happened last minute."

He added that he wasn't nervous about crashing the premiere as Buress.

Carroll documented his night on his personal Instagram account.

Spider-Man: Homecoming, which also stars Tom Holland, Donald Glover, Robert Downey Jr., Marissa Tomei and Michael Keaton, opens on July 7.
