Jury Selection Begins for Casey Anthony Trial

Three years after her daughter Caylee Anthony was found dead, Casey Anthony is finally going on trial for murder. INSIDE EDITION reports as jury selection in the high profile case gets underway.

Casey Anthony wiped away tears as jury selection began for what's already being called the new OJ Simpson trial.

Casey is charged with murdering her 2-year-old daughter Caylee. The case has gripped the nation for three years.

Casey is so reviled in her hometown of Orlando that jury selection had to be moved to Clearwater, 100 miles away, in an attempt to find an impartial panel. The location was kept secret until today.

"There is so much publicity about the Casey Anthony case in the Orlando area the
judge and the attorneys know that it would be extremely difficult to find jurors who know little about this case," says reporter Mike DeForest of WKMG-TV.

25-year-old Casey wore a powder blue blouse and seemed anxious as potential jurors were being questioned. When trial testimony begins, it will take place in Orlando.

"After the jury is selected here in Clearwater, they will be shipped up to Orlando where they will be sequestered in hotel rooms for about two months," DeForest reports.

Today in court, Casey looked completely different from the woman photographed partying while Caylee was missing. Casey didn't report her daughter missing for a month.

"This may be some of the most damning evidence against her at trial. Forget about no emotion, think push-up bras and miniskirts, because after she says her daughter is missing she's out partying at different nightclubs," says Nancy Grace, host of Swift Justice with Nancy Grace.

Her parents, George and Cindy Anthony, are listed as defense witnesses. It was Cindy's call to 911 that first alerted police that Caylee was missing.

Cindy Anthony: "I found my daughter's car today and it smells like there's been a dead body in the damn car."

Casey faces the death penalty if convicted.
