Jersey Boy: The Garden State Connection of Russian Singer at Center of Trump Jr. Email Scandal
Emin Agalarov is a massive star in Russia, but he spent his teenage years in the quiet Jersey town of Tenafly.
He attended Tenafly High School and graduated in 1997.
He owns a mansion in the nearby town of Demarest, which is a haven for the wealthy and just a short 15-minute drive from Manhattan. His neighbors here include actor Chris Rock and singer Mary J. Blige.
The luxury home has 6 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms and is currently on sale for $3 million.
The singer’s father is billionaire Aras Agalarov who is known as the “Donald Trump of Russia.”
He owns a mansion down the road from his son, which is currently on the market for $7 million.
Emin and his father partnered with Donald Trump in bringing the Miss Universe Pageant to Moscow in 2013.
That's where Trump met British publicist Rob Goldstone, who manages the Russian pop star.
It was Goldstone who sent those damning emails to Trump Jr. in June 2016 in which he promised “official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary [Clinton] and would be very useful to your father.”
