A Florida student is facing serious charges after cops say she threatened to kill her teacher on social media.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office said in a press release this week that 18-year-old Desiree Zio posted on the River Ridge High School teacher's Facebook her intent to find and fatally stab her.

Police say Zio, a former student at River Ridge, admitted to the threat.

Zio now attends Marchman Technical College in New Port Richey, according to reports.

She's charged with making a written threat to kill or do bodily harm.

Pasco County Schools communications director Linda Cobbe told reporters that Zio will face disciplinary action that could include expulsion.

An email sent to Marchman Technical College did not immediately get a response Tuesday morning.

Zio is being held in Land O' Lakes jail in lieu of $10,000 bond.
