Jason Aldean has joined the list of entertainers who will forever be associated with a grim event at a concert.
He joins Ariana Grande, who was performing a show at the Manchester Arena in England five months ago when 22 people were killed in a terror attack.
"Pray for Las Vegas," Jason Aldean posted on Instagram. "Tonight has been beyond horrific."
Tonight has been beyond horrific. I still dont know what to say but wanted to let everyone know that Me and my Crew are safe. My Thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved tonight. It hurts my heart that this would happen to anyone who was just coming out to enjoy what should have been a fun night. #heartbroken #stopthehate
Aldean is one of country music's top-selling singers. He was named “Entertainer of the Year” two years in a row at the Academy of Country Music Awards.
In 2014, he announced his engagement to former American Idol contestant Brittany Kerr. They married in 2015 and she is expecting the couple’s first child, a baby boy, due next month.
Kerr also sent out a heartfelt message on social media, saying, “We are safe... our angels were definitely watching over us tonight. No words for what happened... Just horrific. Praying for everyone.”
Ariana Grande tweeted: “My heart is breaking for Las Vegas. We need love, unity, peace, gun control & for people to look at this & call this what it is = terrorism.”
