Bryan Hopkins of the country group Elvis Monroe sang a song he wrote to honor the lives lost in the Vegas massacre.
Hopkins led dozens of concertgoers to a freezer backstage where they waited until the gunfire stopped.
Five days after that horrific night, he joined hands with one of the women in the freezer with him, Nicole Ruffino, 24, during a benefit concert at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Vegas.
Also on Thursday night, same night, family and friends of Charleston Hartfield gathered to pay their respects to the fallen hero across town.
Thousands gathered for a memorial service to honor Hartfield, the off-duty Las Vegas police officer and Nevada Army National Guard sergeant, who was killed during the melee.
