Who would have guessed that, Levi Johnston would come to Sarah Palin's defense in the face of extraordinary claims in the new book, The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin.
Author Joe McGinniss spends an entire chapter investigating whether Sarah Palin really gave birth to baby Trig.
"Do you really believe that it's possible Trig is not Sarah Palin's biological son?" asked INSIDE EDITION's Paul Boyd.
"I just don't know, but I think there are some very significant questions that have been around for several years now that still haven't been answered," said McGinniss.
Sarah has said she went into labor in a Dallas hotel room at 4 a.m.
Instead of going to a hospital, she gave a speech at a political luncheon, then got on a plane, flying eight hours home to Alaska, where she then gave birth to baby Trig.
McGinniss interviewed flight attendants and passengers who were on the plane and says they claim Sarah showed no signs of labor or even pregnancy!
"There are so many problems with the story she told of the circumstances leading up to his birth. It's just not plausible," said McGinniss.
The controversy dogged Sarah during her campaign for vice president when so-called 'Trig Truthers' claimed Trig's birth was a hoax and that she arranged to adopt a Down syndrome baby to win voter sympathy.
But now Levi Johnston, of all people, says he has no doubt that Trig is Sarah's.
"You were there in the hospital?" asked INSIDE EDITION's Diane McInerney.
"I was there at the hospital the day that Sarah had Trig. Just a few hours afterwards and she clearly looked like she had a child," said Johnston.
"Do you believe Trig is Sarah's son?" asked McInerney.
"I do," said Johnston.
"One hundred percent?" asked McInerney.
"Yes," responded Johnston.
