INSIDE EDITION got a grand tour of a mansion modeled after the Versailles Palace in France. It was on the market for $75 million, but is now going on the auction block.
A French Chateau deep in the heart of Texas is up for auction. It's a magnificent 80-acre estate designed after the Versailles Palace in France.
The mansion originally listed for $75 million, was reduced to $34 million. Now it's on the auction block.
The price tag?
"You could potentially have this home for $10.3 million," said Laura Brady, Vice President of Marketing for Concierge Auctions.
Brady gave INSIDE EDITION a tour of the opulent 48,000-square foot mansion outside Dallas. She says the owner's wife spent seven years and $46 million constructing it.
It has a majestic formal drawing room with a massive crystal chandelier hanging from a 30-foot ceiling. An enormous, well-appointed kitchen compliments the rich, French-inspired, formal dining room.
The grand stairway spirals up the three story dome.
Too tired to walk? Take the elevator to the palatial grand ballroom, large enough for 250 guests.
"The grand ballroom was modeled after the Hall of Mirrors in Versailles," said Brady.
There here are six sprawling bedroom suites and the spectacular master bedroom suite.
Before bed, cool off in the indoor pool or unwind in the steam room. It also boasts a beauty salon and a massive walk-in closet that could rival most bedrooms.
The mansion also comes with a racquetball court and its own bowling alley.
