Clues Into the Disappearance of Oregon Woman Surface

Clues are beginning to surface in the disappearance of a woman who vanished near her home in Portland, Oregon. INSIDE EDITION has the story.

A husband broke down as he tried to talk about his wife, missing now for four days.

“I’m sorry,” said the tearful man.

Moments later he was gently comforted by his distraught mother-in-law.

ABC News obtained a home video of 21-year-old Whitney Heichel and her husband, Clint, who have been married for two years.

On Tuesday, Whitney failed to show up at a Starbucks outside of Portland, Oregon, where she worked as a barista. It was just a two minute drive from her home in an apartment complex.

Clint talked about the last time he saw her.

“She got ready, her normal thing. [She] got up just kissed me goodbye, and I kind of woke up and said, ‘Yeah, bye. I'll see you when you get home, ya know.' And she left and I fell back asleep,” said Clint.

Disturbing clues are coming to light. Whitney's ATM card was used at a gas station three hours after she vanished. She was also seen in the passenger seat of her SUV, and an unidentified man was driving.

Whitney's SUV was later found outside a Wal-Mart, four miles from her home. One of the windows was broken.

Police are searching woods 25 miles away. They know Whitney’s vehicle was there from tire tracks.

“She's the sunshine in our hearts.” Whitney's mother Lorelei appealed for help saying, “As a mother I’m begging you, if there's anything anybody might know, even if they're not sure about it, let police know.”
