Girl Lost In Swamp Speaks About Her Ordeal

The 11-year-old girl who went missing in a Florida swamp for four days is speaking publicly for the first time since her terrifying ordeal. INSIDE EDITION has the latest.

Everyone is hearing for the first time from the brave little girl rescued from an alligator-infested swamp.

"You know where I had to sleep? In a hollow log."

11-year-old Nadia Bloom was found by a lone searcher after four days in the wilderness outside Orlando.

The 911 call they made was the answer to a parent's prayer.

"Hey, I've got her, I've got Nadia," the rescuer said to a 911 operator.

"Hi, this is Nadia and I'm the girl who got lost," Nadia said when she was given the phone.

Nadia was just released from the hospital after being treated for dehydration and insect bites.

She raised a chuckle when she told the congregation at her church about the wildlife she saw in the swamp.

"I saw a skink and a snake, but I kept my distance from it," she said.

Nadia appeared with her parents on all three network morning shows Monday. Although, she told Robin Roberts she wasn't crazy about the idea.

"I kinda don't really wanna be here. I'd rather be at school today," Nadia said.

Still itching from the bug bites that covered her from head to toe, Nadia described how she kept her strength up during her ordeal.

"There were these plants, they have spongy insides and you can eat them."

As for the moment when hero James King found her: "I've never been so excited in my life," she said.
