Michelle Obama's New Hairdo For Inauguration

The first lady revealed her new hairdo just in time for her 49th birthday and the Presidential Inauguration this weekend. INSIDE EDITION has the scoop.

Michelle Obama's got bangs!

With the Inauguration just around the corner, the first lady is sporting a sassy new do. It's a layered bob, with short feathery bangs.

A video of the new haircut was recently posted on BarackObama.com and was first revealed in a photo posted on Michelle's new Twitter account, @flotus.

Michelle showed off the new cut on her 49th birthday Thursday night. She was spotted leaving dinner at an Italian restaurant with the president, who looked relaxed with his tie loose.

In honor of the first lady's new cut, Kelly Ripa was sporting bangs Friday morning.

Ripa said, "There's a lot going on for the first lady. We all decided to clip bangs on and try it out."

So, how can you get the first lady's new look?

Stylist Lindsay Block cut our model's locks at New York's Frederic Fekkai salon. First, she cuts the bangs to perfectly frame her face. Then, she adds layers to the back of her hair.

The eyes of the world will be on Michelle during Inauguration Day.

Four years ago the first lady wowed, wearing a lemongrass yellow coat dress designed by Isabel Toledo.

Toledo said, "It was an experience. It was an accomplishment."

The Cuban-born designer worked with her husband, Ruben, to create the sophisticated look, and it changed their lives.

"I became a household name. And opportunities came my way. I did a project with Target, a project with Payless. These are all opportunities that as a smaller desinger, you do not get", Toledo said.

This year's Inauguration Day ensemble is a tightly-guarded secret. But whoever the first lady chooses, life won't be the same again.
