These scathing words were delivered in a speech by British novelist Hilary Mantel, and they're triggering a world-wide uproar.
"Kate Middleton appeared to have been designed by a committee and built by craftsmen, with a perfect plastic smile," she said.
Talk about a royal insult!
Mantel ranted, "She was just a shop-window mannequin, with no personality of her own."
