Chuck Woolery Remembers Rielle Hunter From 2002 Game Show

Lost footage of John Edwards mistress Rielle Hunter appearing on the game show Lingo in 2002 recently surfaced, and host Chuck Woolery says he remembers her. INSIDE EDITION has the story.

When John Edwards first admitted to an affair with Rielle Hunter, veteran game show host Chuck Woolery knew he recognized her from somewhere.

"When I looked and I saw her picture I did remember her I didn't remember anything about her but it was a face that was familiar," Woolery told INSIDE EDITION.

Edwards's former mistress appeared on Lingo, Woolery's latest game show, back in 2002.

Woolery regrets that his show has a link to the biggest sex scandal of the year. INSIDE EDITION spoke to Woolery, the TV personality best known for hosting Love Connection, at his home outside Austin, Texas.

"As if my life weren't interesting enough, I have to have John Edwards's mistress on my show," Woolery said. "She was a chanter and a yoga person when I saw her, but apparently there's more to that chant than meets the eye."

Despite losing the show's $15,000 jackpot in the end, Hunter did prove she's quick-thinking.

But regardless of intelligence, the legendary host says Hunter's affair with a married man casts a dark shadow on her moral character.

"I know that there's a difference between smart and cunning and very seldom do smart and cunning go together, but apparently in her case it does," Woolery told INSIDE EDITION.

Hunter and her game show partner won $500 on the episode.
