Jordan Graham, the bride who murdered her husband of eight days by pushing him off a cliff in breathtaking Glacier National Park, is going to spend the next 30 years of her life in prison.
After the sentencing, her husband’s grieving family reacted by saying, “We still don't know the real truth of what happened, but we have to accept what is going on here today and start to heal."
A wedding video played in court showing the seemingly happy couple reciting their vows on the day of their marriage last July. Twenty-two-year-old Graham said she pushed her new husband Cody Johnson to his death because she was having second thoughts about the marriage.
Breaking down in tears in federal court in Montana, she told the judge, "I still love Cody. I ask myself daily why I didn't make different decisions. I have no answers."
In an exclusive interview with INSIDE EDITION, prosecutor Michael Cotter said he doesn't buy the tears of the bride. “I can only characterize Jordan Graham as very cold, very calculated, and with no absolutely remorse,” said Cotter.
Her husband's family wanted her sentenced to life and told INSIDE EDITION, "We are not real happy with it. The sentence term is what it is. We wished it was going to be longer."
The lyrics of the song written especially for their wedding eerily forecasted the murder when it says, "Everyone wants a safe place to fall and you're mine."
Just eight days later, the bride pushed her husband off the cliff.
Graham told cops her husband had disappeared with friends she didn't know. But when his body was found, she gave the FBI this confession: "I pushed and he went over. And then I took off and went home."
The bride will be 52 years old when she is released from jail in the year 2044.
