While all of America seemed to be caught up in World Cup fever, Ann Coulter was definitely not among them.
She replied, “It's the most excruciatingly boring game.”

She really hates soccer! She’s even taking aim at Tim Howard, the goalie being praised by so many as an American hero for making 16 saves in one game.
She said, “That is so appalling! They don’t even call American soldiers heroes. Let’s throw that into the utterly promiscuous use of the word 'Hero.'”
The conservative firebrand first launched her scathing attack on soccer in a column writing, "Any growing interest in soccer can only be a sign of the nation's moral decay."
She wrote that soccer is "boring" "foreign" and "fruity!"
She even wrote, "Everyone just runs up and down the field and every once in a while, a ball accidentally goes in. That’s when we're supposed to go wild. I'm already asleep!"
Soccer fans are incensed by Coulter's rant, even her friends at Fox & Friends. Brian Kilamede said, "Everything in her column is factually wrong!"
But Coulter is not apologizing, telling INSIDE EDITION, “What got my gourd was the force-fed nature of it. Every year I have to read in The New York Times, ‘Soccer is catching on!’ Take 27, ‘Soccer is catching on!’ No it's not! Americans hate soccer!”
Well, not quite Ms. Coulter. Huge crowds gathered to cheer on Team USA and a total of 21 million people tuned in to watch the USA take on Belgium. That's a higher rating than the last World Series or the recent NBA finals.
Coulter, however, is just not buying it, saying, “Why do we have to join some international sports community? If we have to start adopting things of other countries, how about smoking? How about sleeping in? How about taking naps? Why does it have to be this boring sport?”
