At the school where 7-year-old Kyron Horman was last seen, his mother, Desiree, stopped by the makeshift memorial to leave a note addressed simply To: Kyron, Love Momma.
Inside the press conference that followed, she wasted no time, all but accusing his step-mother, former bodybuilder Terri Horman, of being involved in the disappearance.
"We implore Terri Horman to fully cooperate with the investigators to bring Kyron home," Desiree said.
It is mom versus step-mom in the mystery of the missing second grader, and step-mom, Terri Horman, has stopped talking with police.
Now she is coming under intense pressure to explain her whereabouts the day her little step-son vanished.
The glare of the national spotlight is falling on Terri Horman who has not been named a suspect.
For the second week in a row, People magazine is featuring a story on the missing boy. And the morning shows are zeroing on the step-mom as well.
Terry Horman has refused to say a word. But it's been reported that she anonymously complained about the coverage on a local news blog:
"Wow, unless you know all the details, the stress, the worry, the pain, you have nothing to speak of, you're merely making assumptions you have no facts, details, or knowledge to present, so please refrain from your accusations."
As the mom versus step-mom war continues, Desiree made a heartfelt plea to everyone to keep looking for her cute little boy with the glasses and a friendly smile.
Desiree pled during the press conference, "Kyron is still alive. We would like all of you, everyone to continue to get his face out there, to continue to look for him in your day to day activites."
