INSIDE EDITION has the story of a man who fell 30 feet from an upper tier at a baseball stadium onto the crowd below.
Cheers turned into screams at a baseball game. "Whoa! A fan tumbled out and I pray that he's okay," one announcer said.
In slow motion, video shows an umpire's shocked reaction as a fan fell 30 feet from the upper deck while trying to catch a foul ball.
"I am so glad we didn't see that," the announcer said.
Cleveland Indians center-fielder, Trevor Crowe, fell to his knees in prayer. He later called it, "One of the scariest things I've ever seen."
Stunned players looked on in disbelief. One fan broke down in tears and the Texas Rangers ballpark went silent.
For 16 minutes the game was stopped as paramedics rushed to save the fan's life.
Video shows exactly where he lost his balance while leaning over a railing in the second deck and then fell 30 feet into the stands below.
This isn't the first time a fan pursuing a foul ball has taken a terrifying fall.
A 10-year-old boy tumbled 15 feet at a Philadelphia Phillies game in 2008. Fortunately, he didn't land on his head and wasn't hurt seriously.
Another fan suffered bumps and bruises in a collision with two New York Yankees players in 1996.
And a St. Louis Cardinals fan dislocated his shoulder in 1995 when he fell over a railing while reaching for a foul ball.
Back In Texas, four people suffered minor injuries when the fan landed on top of them. They may have actually broken his fall.
The fan was carried out on a stretcher and received a standing ovation. Hospital officials say he was "responsive and able to move all his extremities."
