Francesca Hilton, the only child of legendary actress Zsa Zsa Gabor is dead at 67.
The one-time child of wealth and fame had reportedly been living her final days in a dingy flop house in Hollywood.
Francesca suffered an apparent stroke on Monday while having dinner.
Her longtime publicist is quoted as saying, she was "under extreme pressure" after her stepfather, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, "informed [her] that she would no longer be allowed in the house" to visit her 97-year-old mother, who is suffering from severe dementia.
On Tuesday, INSIDE EDITION's Jim Moret spoke to von Anhalt at the Bel-Air mansion he shares with Zsa Zsa, who is hidden from the world. He denied the publicist's allegations and told Moret that Francesca was scheduled to visit her mother on Tuesday afternoon.
Moret asked, "Will you go to her funeral?"
He replied, "Yes, I will go to the funeral. She is a family member, you know, she was my wife's daughter. Even if we didn't get along, that doesn't mean we were fighting all the time."
Zsa Zsa has been married nine times. Once a great Hollywood beauty, she was last seen in a photo taken on her 94th birthday propped up in a bed and looking frail. Francesca is her daughter from her marriage to Conrad Hilton, Paris Hilton’s great-grandfather.
Moret asked von Anhalt, "Francesca's last comments to the press were, 'My mother and you are living in this lap of luxury and she is living in a flop house in Beverly Hills where murderers live.' What do you want people to know?"
He replied, "You have a Gabor name, you have a Hilton name, and any of the best schools. Then, your mother sends you out and says, 'With all of the things I give you, now, go out and do something.' And she doesn't do anything with it. I can't help her. Her mother can't help her. She has to make her own life."
Despite the Hilton family's fabled wealth, Francesca struggled, living off a small Social Security check. And she loathed her stepfather. As she told INSIDE EDITION in 2011, "He says that all I am after is the money. I have been with my mother longer than he has, he is her ninth husband."
Her stepfather says he will not inform Zsa Zsa about the death of her only daughter, saying, "There is no future for Zsa Zsa, how long is she going to live? So, I am not going to upset her. She is going to get a heart attack if I tell her that her daughter passed away. I can't do that, I just can't do that."
