Ivana Trump is praising a new diet in an effort to boost its appeal in the U.S.

President Trump's first wife is promoting "The Italiano Diet," which offers low-calorie and low-carb packaged meals, but also boasts chocolate-dipped cookies.

"It is all about promoting a healthy lifestyle," she told Inside Edition.

The diet plan, which is popular in Italy, was created by Italian nutritionist Gianluca Mech.

As Ivana talked nutrition, Inside Edition asked her what she thought about her former husband’s eating habits.

"He always loved the junk food," she said. "I can tell him hundred times, he listens but he does exactly what he wants to do. It's hard. He's aware of it, he's watching it."
