Chaos on L.A. Streets After Police Break Up Illegal Party: Authorities

Vandals in Los Angeles confronted a police officer, throwing a firecracker at her after attacking her squad car with graffiti. Local businesses were also targeted and covered with graffiti. Police say the mayhem started when they were breaking up an illegal party. More than 1,000 people had gathered on a rooftop to watch a punk band perform. Some partygoers set off fireworks. Authorities say when cops broke up the party, the crowd took to the streets.
