    Colorado Kid Kayaks to School During Bus Driver Shortage

    A school bus crisis is sweeping the nation, and more than 200 school bus drivers have lost their lives due to COVID-19 since the pandemic began. Many more are stepping aside because they are retirees who are more vulnerable due to their age. In Colorado, 12-year-old Josh Smith is finding his own creative way to get to school: he’s kayaking. “I didn’t know if I could get a seat on the bus this year,” Josh told Inside Edition. “Since the school was right on the lake, I thought of kayaking.”
