How News Anchor Michelle Velez Pregnancy Turned Into a Rare Cancer

Viewers were shocked when KSNV anchor Michelle Velez said that she hadn’t been on air as frequently in the last weeks because she was battling a rare form of cancer. It all started in August when Velez announced to her husband that she was pregnant. But their first ultrasound revealed it was a molar pregnancy that quickly turned cancerous and spread to the rest of her body.  She is now undergoing chemotherapy and hopes her story will inspire other women to open up about miscarriage and pregnancy loss.
