"This was not a prank, no prank at all," Saleh said as he arrived at JFK Airport in New York Wednesday night. "My life is not a prank. I wouldn't be joking about something like this."

He says he and a friend were kicked off the New York-bound aircraft from London’s Heathrow Airport after briefly speaking Arabic.

Some passengers on that Delta flight supported him.

One person told Inside Edition: “The guy didn't seem threatening. I think he was just trying to take his seat and get ready for a long flight, like the rest of us.”

"He said he was talking Arabic to his mother on a plane," another said. "I don't think that's reason to kick somebody off a plane."

But other passengers paint a different picture of what happened.

“It seemed like he was very prepared before, what he was planning to do,” said one passenger.

Another added: “People were crying. They felt so uncomfortable.”

“Multiple passenger statements [were] collected," Delta said in a statement. "It appears the customers who were removed sought to disrupt the cabin with provocative behavior, including shouting. This type of conduct is not welcome on any Delta flight."
