Trump Faces Backlash from Media

Donald Trump may be proud of himself for President Obama presenting his birth certificate yesterday, but the tycoon now faces backlash from the late night comics and others. INSIDE EDITION has the latest.

Jay Leno had his own special take on President Obama releasing his birth certificate, showing a comedic video edit of Donald Trump speaking about the birth certificate while President Obama wads up the certificate and puts it in Trump's mouth.

The gag comes as a storm swirls around the billionaire.

The President scoffed at Trump at a fundraiser held last night in New York City. And again on Oprah with the First Lady at his side.

"He was born here!" exclaimed Michelle Obama.

"It's confirmed again," said Oprah.

"I was there. So I knew," said President Obama.

Oscar®-winning actor Robert De Niro, who feuded with Trump over the birther issue, had just three words to say: "Trump the chump!"

But the firestorm rages on as CBS Chief Washington Correspondent Bob Schieffer lambasted Trump's latest demand to examine Obama's college record.

"That's just code for saying he got into law school because he's black. This is an ugly strain of racism running through this whole thing," said Schieffer.

But Trump responded today saying,  "That's a terrible statement for a newscaster to make. I'm the last person such a thing should be said about."

MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell ordered leading birther advocate Orly Taitz off his show after she refused to accept the birth certificate as legitimate.

"Get her out of here! Get her off this show! If you're not going to talk about the birth certificate Orly Taitz, go home. You're fired. Go play with Donald Trump," said O'Donnell.

And the late night comics took aim at the tycoon. David Letterman's Top Ten List was: "The surprises in the birth cerificate," and item #3 on the list was: "The document is notarized by Magnum P.I."
