    A 4-year-old is way ahead of the game, having just signed a college baseball contract. Ari Schulz loves baseball. It's one thing that cheers him up as he waits for a heart transplant. He's been battling heart disease his whole life and over the summer things got worse when he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. An organization called team Impact set Ari up with a scrimmage game at Assumption College. He was so good, they drafted him with an official contract-signing ceremony.

A man reportedly seen in surveillance footage plucking the festive holiday laser lights from a Staten Island front yard recently was chastised by Community Education Council 31 President Michael Reilly on Facebook following the theft.

    Fire Captain No Longer Needs Reading Glasses After Groundbreaking New Surgery

    Captain A.J. Martinez has a ton of glasses for various things he needs to do like look at a computer and has many spares for wherever he goes. He turned to Dr. Robert Lin for the newly approved KAMRA eye surgery that the doctor says will enable him to read without glasses. The San Diego firefighter says he was blindsided when he turned 50 years old and suddenly "woke up in the morning and had blurry vision and I couldn't figure it out." Martinez says he felt great after the procedure and had no pain.
