Mom of Boy Who Fell Into Gorilla Enclosure: I Watch on My Kids, Accidents Happen

The mother of the 4-year-old boy who climbed into the gorilla enclosure at the Cincinnati Zoo is under siege. Michelle Gregg was heard on the video trying to comfort her son as the 450-pound silverback gorilla, named Harambe, dragged him across the moat. Gregg posted a message: "As a society, we are quick to judge how a parent could take their eyes of their child. And if anyone knows me I keep a tight watch on my kids. Accidents happen." An online petition is calling for the mother to be prosecuted.

Man Creates Epic Christmas Light Display On Home Set To Prince's 'Purple Rain'

Prince's 'Purple Rain' isn't a traditional Christmas song, but this year, a family in Minnesota considers it a honorary holiday tune. Mike Staudt creates a light display on his home every year. Staudt says he's only a casual Prince fan but regrets not taking advantage of being in close proximity to the singer.

9-Year-Old Girl Wants to Collect 350 Blankets To Keep Kids Warm This Winter

9-year-old Emma Burkhart has been able to rally her community to collect blankets for kids to help them stay warm this winter. She got the idea last year when she was gifted two of the same blanket and wanted to give one away. She figured others could use blankets too and started the "Keep Kids Warm Blanket Drive" in her town of Durant, Oklahoma. Local businesses served as drop-off points for the drive and helped Emma collect 200 blankets! This year she's set a loftier goal: 350 blankets.
