INSIDE EDITION sits down with Miss America runner up Alyse Eady who caught the nation’s attention with her ventriloquist act.
It was one of the most bizarre acts ever seen on the Miss America stage. A gorgeous woman yodeling with two strange looking puppets.
Miss Arkansas' jawdropping performance earned her first runner-up and is getting her more attention than the woman who actually won.
We caught up with, 22-year-old Alyse Eady at home in Little Rock. Where she was unpacking her dolls and wearing a little dress that perfectly matches the special case where she keeps her puppets.
"Hello INSIDE EDITION!" puppet says.
Eady responds, "Rosie, Rocky, are you ready?"
Rosie the puppet, is Eady's alter ego designed to look just like her!
"I actually got to design Rosie, and picked her green eyes, because I have green eyes, and her brown hair, to match mine," says Eady.
They really do look alike even the eyebrows.
Eady says she's been fascinated with puppets since she was a 9-year-old. She was a huge fan of Shari Lewis and Lamb Chop.
"I watched every video and checked out every book that I possibly could on how to be a ventriloquist," Eady explains.
She showed INSIDE EDITION how she taught herself by practicing the alphabet, using her hand as a puppet.
By the age of 13 she was already a pro and competed in a local talent competition in 2001.
Today her act is so polished, she's wowing all America. But look what happens, when it's time to put the puppets back in their trunk.
Eady, "Come on Rosie, time to go."
Rosie the puppet: "No, no, no, I don't want to go, no!"
Eady knows some people find her talent, well, a little creepy. That's not going to stop her from doing what she loves best, yodeling with Rosie.
