Ugly Allegations About the World's Cutest Dog

Boo the dog is one of the most famous faces on Facebook, but his owner has remained a mystery - until now. INSIDE EDITION has the scoop on the person behind Boo.

Has scandal come to Boo, the world's cutest dog? Say it ain't so.

Boo rose to fame on Facebook with almost 5 million "Likes." He's also got a best-selling book and a line of stuffed animal toys.

But now, one report is questioning the legitimacy of Boo's Facebook fame.

All this time Boo's owner has been shrouded in mystery. Just who is the person behind the world's cutest dog?

Well, now we know. She's an executive at Facebook.

According to the blog, AllThingsD.com, her name is Irene Ahn and she works in a senior level position at Facebook's finance department.

Now, while there's no denying Boo is awfully cute, the big question is, Did Boo's Facebook connections give him an edge over all the other adorable pooches out there?

Chris Dessi is an expert on social media, and spoke to INSIDE EDITION.

Dessi said, "Absolutely, it gives her a big advantage. Being a Facebook insider, she would understand that brands engage with Facebook pages, she would understand day parts, when she should post content. She would understand the words to use."

Irene Ahn, reportedly set up Boo's hugely popular Facebook page three years ago, and all that time, remained curiously anonymous.

Even when Boo appeared on morning television, the owner was no where to be seen.

Dessi said, "I don't think there is anything intentional here. I think it is just the idea that this young lady most likely understood the appropriate manner in which brands engage within Facebook and that these custom Facebook pages perform the best in that system."
