INSIDE EDITION caught up with gold medal diver David Boudia as Team USA returns home from their triumphs at the London Olympic games.

Diver David Boudia came by INSIDE EDITION, proudly wearing his gold medal—America's first diving gold since 2000. He did not realize he was in gold medal contention until after his last dive.
Boudia told INSIDE EDITION, "If I would have known something like that, I think I would have maybe broken under pressure. So it's maybe better that I didn't [know.] But after going up for the last dive, hitting the water and then going over to my coaches and seeing the competitors around them, I knew that something special was about to happen."
Gymnast McKayla Maroney's disappointed expression after winning a silver medal went viral, and on her return home, Maroney poked fun at herself with this tweet: "The pool is closed: #not impressed."
Diver Brittany Viola didn't win gold, but there's a gold band in her future. She just announced that she became engaged to a Baptist minister.
She tweeted: "Received two lifelong rings in one day" showing off her Olympic ring and her engagement ring.
London's vast Olympic park is a ghost town now, but some U.S. athletes are already thinking about Rio De Janeiro in 2016.
Boudia said, "Rio 2016 is definitely in sight."
